After reading the reviews I was worried to stay here but I can’t lie it was absolutely fine and I didn’t see any issues that were stated by others. My fiancé and I stayed here for two nights and for the price we paid it was what we expected…. Our room was fine, nothing extraordinary but definitely not the worst I’ve stayed in. Had no problems with the staff, was nice when spoken to and fixed the issues we had quickly. I think most people who have stayed here definitely are used to the ritz or extremely high end hotels so were over critical of this hotel. Was a good two night stay just the mattress that was uncomfortable. But is in a great location and will definitely stay again if needed to.
I was very anxious about staying here due to the amount of bad reviews I had read however I had no problems at all. I think people who have wrote a bad review on here stay at this hotel expecting it to be like the ritz however you get what you pay for and for me personally I had no issues for the money I spent. I used this hotel for 2 nights to go on a night out for my friends 24th, the room had some marks/stains on the walls/curtains however staff were friendly when checking in, reactivating the room card and checking out, room wasn’t different to the pictures at all (people need to go to SpecSavers if they think it is) and the bathroom was absolutely fine. No bad smells at all on our floor (1st) and we had the room cleaned both days and fresh towels given. There were noisy guests on the Saturday night but it’s a weekend, what do you expect? I think people need to stop being so picky on here in my opinion!
Room 1212 was a pleasant surprise. I could sleep with windows open! Quality renovation done some years ago, to some of the rooms. Hotel reception area need new sofas, and floors cleaned. Helpful staff, free parking. Old building with confusing walk and steps up and down towards the room. Lift.
I arrived on Sunday and unfortunately my room was delayed and I couldn’t check in as fast as expected..at the beginning I was disappointed as just sitting in the lobby and waiting room was really annoying and frustrating.. The hotel certainly needs a repair but I give a 5 stars for reception team. Considering the pressure and circumstances they did the best and been very nice to customers. Also my room was very tidy and when I finally checked in first impression definitely changed. My room scented amazing and the cleaning staff were great during my stay! Hotel needs improvement for sure but everything else is as fine as you can expect.
I was a little nervous about staying here after reading some of the reviews but based on our experience some of the reviews were unfair. Staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and tidy. Few marks on the walls but for the price we paid for the room it really wasn't an issue. Based on our stay the price we paid we were more than happy with the hotel. I was shocked at how different our experience was compared to some of the reviews if read.
Stayed with a group of friends in 4 twin rooms, and they did manage to get us rooms very close to each other which was great. The lobby and rooms were furnished and decorated very well, and were very clean, however the corridors were a bit shabby.
Despite the other negative reviews, my stay here was unaffected by any of those issues. I stayed in the Queen room, and found the room to be clean & well-maintained, all expected equipment present & working (eg. TV, fan, sockets). They even found me a travel cot for my son at check-in, as the booking agency failed to inform them. Excellent value for money for a triple room
